				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><u>Wireless systems prototyping.</u> The National Instruments (NI) infrastructure available at IntraSAT-Tech allows rapid wireless system prototyping. The SDR NI USRP modules combined with LabVIEW provide a flexible, cost-effective development platform that supports the implementation of a reconfigurable RF frontend composed of multiple synchronized Tx/Rx modules. The platform can be used for the development and testing of various algorithms and system architectures, allowing the customization of the solution to meet the application requirements. The NI testbed includes:</p>
<ul>
<li>8 NI USRPs, model 2954R (10MHz &#8211; 6GHz, up to 160MHz instantaneous BW, up to 200MS/s). </li>
<li>An NI PXIe-8880 controller (16 core Intel (Xeon) CPU processor @2.3GHz, 24GB RAM). </li>
<li>A synchronization subsystem (an NI CDA-2990 Octoclock and a USRP N2900).</li>
<li>The NI LabVIEW Communication System Design Suite 2.0 and MIMO Application Framework that can be integrated with MATLAB for complementary signal processing.</li>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><u>Intra-satellite communications.</u> IntraSAT-Tech uses a set of professional STARDundee instruments to simulate, develop and test SpW communication networks for spacecrafts. The SpW testbed includes a SpaceWire EGSE Device simulator (as the PDHU emulator), a SpaceWire-USB Brick Mk3 (as the CDHU emulator), a SpaceWire Link Analyser Mk2, and several SpW Laboratory Cables (1.5m).<br />Moreover, the IntraSAT-Tech team has acquired the necessary expertise to replace the wired SpW links with wireless ones (UWB or high throughput), ensuring the necessary data conversion by means of SpW-to/from-UART, SpW-to/from-PCIe, or SpW-to/from-Ethernet bridges. Two FMC SpaceWire Boards (SpW Interface) and two Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC ZCU102 FPGA Boards are used to ensure the connectivity and data conversion between the SpW equipment and the radio modules.<br />To test the performance in highly reflective environment, a satellite mockup is also available at IntraSAT-Tech.</p></div>

The measured parameters can be used in the development of ionospheric propagation models for HF transmissions.<br />A Q/V band receiver operating at 39GHz is installed to monitor the Alphasat TDP#5 beacon, while the Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station provides precise weather information. The corelated propagation and weather data are used to develop a Q/V band channel model for the climate of Cluj-Napoca.</p></div>

IntraSAT-Tech employs QualNet Developer 6.1 to design protocols, create and animate network scenarios, and analyze the performance of satellite, cellular, metropolitan, local, and sensors networks.<br />For a more realistic approach, EXata 4.2. network emulator is used to inject real traffic in the designed simulated networks and evaluate their behavior.<br />A custom satellite library is used to simulate outage events and traffic management for smart site diversity in high throughput satellite systems.</p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>Acest proiect a constat în înlocuirea cablajului convențional al senzorilor folosiți în faza AIT cu legături RF wireless. În timpul testelor de mediu sunt utilizați, de obicei, două tipuri de senzori: termocuple și accelerometre. Pentru fiecare satelit supus testelor de mediu sunt instalați, înainte de testare, între 1.500 și 2.000 de senzori, toți conectați prin cabluri. Acestă activitate necesită mult timp și prezintă riscul de deteriorare a componentelor interne ale satelitului datorită forței de muncă manuale intens necesare pentru a rula firele la începutul testului cât și pentru îndepărtarea acestora după ce testul a fost finalizat. Prin urmare, înlocuirea cablurilor cu legături wireless de la senzori la sistemul de testare aduce un beneficiu substantial printr-o testare rapidă și sigură. </p>
<p>Sistemul Wireless de Achiziție a Datelor poate fi format din maxim 200 de noduri T / C wireless, care sunt instalați pe nava spațială, fiecare putând găzdui până la 10 termocuple. Nodurile T / C wireless sunt interconectați într-o rețea de senzori gestionați de o poartă wireless . Wireless Gateway este un produs standard ISA100 Wireless care poate fi achiziționat de la mai mulți producători, inclusiv CDS, ca și componentă COTS. Poarta wireless este instalată în afara camerei vidate termic și, prin urmare, nu trebuie să îndeplinească cerințele de mediu pentru vidul termic. Legăturile wireless dintre nodurile T / C wireless și Gateway-ul wireless înlocuiesc conexiunile cu fir care altfel ar fi trebuit să iasă din camera TVAC. Wireless Gateway este conectat direct la sistemul de achiziție a datelor și la o aplicație PC folosită pentru monitorizare de către operatori. </p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>Obiectivul proiectului &#8211; Wireless Communication Bus for Satellite Applications &#8211; faza 3 (WiSAT-3) este de a dezvolta o unitate de interfață wireless SpW-la-UWB, model calificat tehnic (EQM) conceput pentru a implementa conexiuni wireless UWB intra-spațiale. Unitatea wireless SpW-la-UWB EQM construită va  avea un nivel de dezvoltare tehnologic de TRL 6. Proiectul WiSAT-3 își propune să continue activitățile stabilite inițial în cadrul proiectului WiSAT-1, realizat de Control Data System S.R.L. (CDS) în parteneriat cu GMV Innovating Solutions S.R.L. (GMV-ROM) și Universitatea Tehnică din Cluj-Napoca (UTCN), în cadrul schemei de stimulare a industriei românești AO / 1-7557 / 13 / NL / SC (2014-2015) și ulterior dezvoltate în cadrul proiectului WiSAT-2 realizat de Control Data System S.R.L în colaborare cu German Aerospace Center (DLR), în cadrul schemei de stimulare a industriei românești AO / 1-8545 / 16 / NL / CBi (2017-2018). WiSAT-Faza 1 și WiSAT-Faza 2 menționate anterior au fost coordonate de CDS, iar rezultatele lor au fost livrate cu succes la ESA. </p>
<p>Proiectele WiSAT, au investigat (WiSAT-1) și au demonstrat (WiSAT-2) fezabilitatea utilizării comunicării wireless Ultra-wideband (UWB) în locul, în completarea sau extinderea sistemelor de transfer de date prin cablu, reducând astfel atât masa totală a navei spațiale cât și efortul depus activităților de asamblare, integrare și testare (AIT) îmbunătățind, în același timp, flexibilitatea proiectării și sarcinile de reproiectare tardivă.</p>
<p>Cerințele care au dus la crearea sistemului WiSAT au fost derivate din DLR Satellite Euglena și misiunea Combined Regenerative Organic Food Production in Space (Eu:CROPIS) lansată de Space-X la bordul Falcon 9, pe 3 decembrie 2018. Pe baza cerințelor misiunii DLR Eu: CROPIS cu privire la comunicațiile wireless intra-spațiale, a fost implementată o rețea intra-spațială de două segmente. În această schemă, rețeaua wireless a navei spațiale înlocuiește punct la punct firele de comunicatii (SpW) dintre Unitatea de Comandă și Gestionare a Datelor (CDHU) și Unitatea de Manevrare a Datelor Încărcate (PDHU), iar rețeaua wireless de încărcare înlocuiește serialul punct-la- legături multiple între PDHU și senzorii științifici. Lucrarea a constat în crearea de prototipuri adecvate specifice unor gateway-uri și noduri wireless pentru a manevra în mod corespunzător datele SpW prin legătură PDHU-la-CDHU și datele senzorilor prin legături PDHU-la-senzor. Fiecare prototip WiSAT folosește o interfață wireless UWB pentru transmisia de date pe frecvență radio și o interfață dedicată pentru asigurarea conectivități cu dispozitivul de bord corespunzător. Gateway-urile și nodurile UWB dezvoltate folosesc nodul VN360 UWB proiectat de CDS pentru a furniza front-end-ul RF adecvat. Toate soluțiile WiSAT funcționează după un protocol personalizat ISA100.11a cu un depozit de comunicații IEEE 802.15.4UWB PHY.</p></div>
